Sgt. Hartung met with a complainant in the South Shore Shopping Center reference damage to her Ford Fusion. The complainant stated that while she was parked in the lot her vehicle sustained a scratch on the driver’s side door and the driver’s side passenger door. There are no suspects at this time.

 

1342:

Cpl. Mayer met with a teacher at Sailorway Middle School reference an unruly student. The teacher advised that the student would not stop sleeping in class. Cpl. Mayer met with the student and he was advised to stay awake or he would be charged with Unruly. The juvenile went back to class and went to sleep. The thirteen year old student was suspended from school for three days and charged with Unruly Juvenile.

 

1613:

Sgt. Hartung met with a subject on station reference vandalism from a previous reported incident. He was given a citizen complaint packet and was advised to follow up with Ptl. Holmes as he was the investigation officer from the original incident.

 

1928:

Ptl. Cundari met with a VHS student and her father on station reference a theft. The student stated that her wallet was stolen out of her purse. Under investigation.

 

1935:

Officers responded to BP Mickey Mart for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the clerk who stated that a male subject had just entered the store and demanded money. Under investigation.

 

2100:

Ptl. Cundari spoke with a subject via public service reference a civil matter involving his ex-girlfriend and a protection order.

 

2107:

Ptl. Stark met with a complainant reference her ex-boyfriend calling her. The complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had her arrested for assault yesterday in Lorain and they issued a no contact order. The complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend will not stop calling. Ptl. Stark left a message for the suspect to stop calling or that he could be charged with telecommunications harassment.

Cpl. Riggs met with Herk Excavating reference a vehicle entry. Under investigation.

 

1311:

Ptl. Jones met with a Loss Prevention Agent at Drug Mart reference shoplifting. The agent observed a subject take a box cutter and made no attempt to pay for it. Janusz Sobon (age 30 Sheffield Lake) was charged with Theft.

 

1647:

Ptl. Jones met with a complainant reference identity theft. Under investigation.

 

2202:

Ptl. Spoores met with a complainant on station reference her ex-husband violating a protection order. The complainant stated that her ex-husband has been calling and leaving messages on her cell phone. The complainant was given a citizen complainant packet and was advised to contact the prosecutor.

 

December 3, 2009

 

0356:

Ptl. Spoores was dispatched to a residence on Baumhart Road to take a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile’s mother stated that her son left last night around 6pm and has not returned home yet. The juvenile spoke with his mother around 12:30am and told her he would be home when he feels like it and hung up. The juvenile returned home later the next day. He was charged with Unruly.

 

0919:

Cpl. Mayer met with the principal of South Street School reference the theft of a PS2 Game Boy game.

 

1114:

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Berkley Road for a verbal domestic between mother and son. Upon arrival the mother stated that she and her son got into an argument because he stole money from his grandmother. During the argument the complainant’s son shoved her with his elbow and shoulder causing her to call down and strike a wall. Officer’s spoke to the juvenile and he admitted to taking the money for a drug deal. The money was given back to the complainant and the juvenile was charged with Domestic Violence. The domestic charge was enhanced to a Felony because the juvenile had a prior Domestic Violence conviction.

 

1646:

Ptl. Mis met with a resident on Woodview Drive reference vandalism. The complainant stated that sometime in the past couple of days, someone threw motor oil on the siding and windows in the rear of the house. Under investigation.

 

2339:

The fire department was toned out for a lift assist.

 

December 4, 2009

 

0517:

Units responded to a residence on Liberty Avenue for a vandalism complaint. The complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had just sliced the tire on her vehicle. The suspect was located and detained during a traffic stop. The complainant advised that she did not want to pursue a charge and only wanted her tire paid for. The suspect denied slicing the tire, but agreed to pay for it.

Ptl. Graham was dispatched to a residence on Liberty Avenue reference vandalism. The complainant stated that someone flattened one of her tires while it was parked in the driveway. Under investigation.

 

1420:

Ptl. Graham was dispatched to Coley’s Machine shop for a theft. Under investigation.

 

1820:

Sgt. Hartung took an accident report at BP Mickey Mart.

 

1851:

Ptl. Mcglothlin responded to the license bureau for a harassment complaint. Upon arrival an employee advised that she was receiving harassing phone calls from her brother’s children’s mother. The suspect was contacted and advised to stop calling.

 

December 5, 2009

 

0547:

All units responded to a residence on Parkland Road for a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Ptl. Cundari and Ptl. Howell met with a female that was standing in the middle of the road. The female had a scrape and fresh blood on her right hand. Ptl. Howell went inside and met with the male party involved. There were multiple injuries to the male including a bruise and swelling to the corner of his right eye, a fresh cut to the center right of the neck, fresh scrapes on his right elbow, and a fresh cut and scrapes to the middle finger knuckle. The male stated that the injuries were sustained from a fight earlier with another male subject. Both parties were advised to fill out a citizen complaint packet when they sober up if they wanted to pursue assault charges on each other. The female was given a courtesy ride to Lorain.

 

2021:

Ptl. Stark met with a male at BP Mickey Mart reference his wallet being lost and then found with money missing.

 

 

 

 

2221:

Officers responded to the 3200 block of Lorain Drive for a report of a Burglary. Upon arrival, officers were able to determine a point of entry and collected evidence from the scene for processing. Under investigation.

 

December 6, 2009

 

0034:

Officers responded to a residence on Jackson Street for a report of an unwanted male subject. The subject Jeriod Jewell (age 27 Sheffield Lake) was reportedly intoxicated and had an active warrant. Prior to arrival, Jewell fled on foot. The male was located hiding in some brush along the railroad tracks near Jackson Street. Jewell was charged with Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct Intox. Jewell was released to Sheffield Lake Police for his active warrant.

 

0315:

Ptl. Cundari met with a female subject on station reference a rape that she was involved in. The male involved was arrested and charged with Gross Sexual Imposition and Sexual Imposition.

 

1416:

Ptl. Mis took a report for a theft. The complainant stated that several items were stolen from her residence and believes it may have been a male that did work on the house in the past since he still has a key. Under investigation.

 

1837:

Sgt. Hartung met with a complainant on station reference identity theft.

 

December 7, 2009

 

1419:

Sgt. Adams met with a complainant and her boyfriend on station reference vandalism. Both subjects stated that they were at a residence on Parkland when they were confronted by a female that they knew. This female pulled the complainant from the car and punched her repeatedly and spit on her. The female then ripped both rear view mirrors from the complainant’s boyfriend’s car. Both parties were advised to contact the prosecutor for possible charges.

 

1700:

Cpl. Riggs met with a subject reference a protection order violation. The complainant advised she has a CPO against another female protecting herself and her children. The female in question showed up at the children’s school. The complainant was given a citizen complaint packet to fill out for the prosecutor.

Officers met with a female on station who reported being raped four days ago. Under investigation.

 

1115:

Sgt. Davis met with an employee at Tijuana Grill reference theft by deception.

 

1548:

Ptl. Jones conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had an extremely loud exhaust. The driver was identified as Mark Hewitt Jr (age 26 Vermilion). Hewitt was found to be under suspension for not paying a reinstatement fee. Hewitt was charged for Driving Under Suspension and given a verbal warning for the Loud Exhaust.

The fire department was toned out for an electrical fire.

Ptl. Spoores was dispatched to Lorain Drive reference the vandalism of a mailbox.

 

1012:

Cpl. Mayer met with the principal of Vermilion Intermediate School reference an out of control student. Upon arrival, Cpl. Mayer observed the juvenile in question being held down by two females. Cpl. Mayer was advised that the juvenile bit one of the class aides. It took the two females to restrain the juvenile. The juvenile was released to his mother and he will be sent in for an informal discipline hearing.

 

1145:

Sgt. Hartung met with a female on station reference the unauthorized use regarding her ten year old daughter’s library card. The complainant requested a report for the library.

 

1402:

Ptl. Terry was dispatched to a residence on Highbridge Road regarding property damage to a vehicle. Upon arrival, Ptl. Terry met with the complainant who stated that branches from a tree over her driveway fell on her vehicle causing extensive damage.

The fire department was toned out for a fire alarm.

Ptl. Mcglothlin was dispatched to a residence on Beechview Drive reference a twelve year old boy that snuck out of his bedroom window. Ptl. Mcglothlin spoke to the juvenile and he was advised that he has to listen to his parents and what the consequences would be if he did not. All parties were advised to contact the department if there are any further problems.

 

December 11, 2009

 

0101:

Officers were dispatched to an apartment on Salem Drive for a disturbance. Upon arrival we met officers met with the home owner and his three female guests. The three females were standing next to a coffee table with approximately forty opened cans and bottles of beer on it. The three females were all found to be under the age of twenty-one. Two of the females were found to be intoxicated. Katherine Swinehart (age 18 Vermilion) and Laura Greene (age 19 Vermilion) were arrested for Underage Consumption.

 

0457:

Units were dispatched to a residence on South Street reference a subject that was cutting his wrists. Upon arrival officers made contact with the subject involved. There were two large cuts to one fore arm and one large cut to the other fore arm. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment and an evaluation.

 

1122:

Lt. Labis met with a complainant reference someone shooting a laser pointer into his vehicle on West River Road near Ohio Street.

 

1446:

Ptl. Jones conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had an extremely loud exhaust. The driver was identified as Cameron Davis (age 18 Vermilion). Davis was found to be under suspension for failure to pay a fine. Davis was charged with Driving Under Suspension.

 

1922:

Ptl. Stark spoke with a subject via public service reference another male taking money from him while he was shopping at Aunt Ruth’s Family Store. Under investigation.

 

2050:

Ptl. Holmes was dispatched to check for a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted on Liberty Avenue near Marathon Gas Station. The driver Steven Schwarz (age 51 Vermilion) was found to be under the influence of alcohol/drugs and under suspension. Also located in the vehicle was a generic form of Valium pill. Schwarz was charged with OVI (6th OVI in 20 years), Driving Under Suspension (3rd DUS in 6 years), Possession of Drugs and Marked Lanes. Schwarz’s wife, Tammy Brock (age 43 Vermilion) was charged with Wrongful Entrustment. Brock has been charged by Ptl. Holmes last year for the same thing. Schwarz was given a courtesy ride home and released to Brock. Brock was not cooperative and tried to rip the paperwork out of Ptl. Holmes hands when advised she was being charged.

Ptl. Jones conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding on SR 2. The driver was identified as Jesse Day (age 23 Pennsylvania). Day was found to be under suspension through Pennsylvania. Day was charged with Driving Under Suspension.

 

1652:

Ptl. Jones met with a residence on Devon Drive reference a possible attempted breaking and entering. Under investigation.

 

2221:

Units were dispatched to the area of Woodside Road and Elyria Drive for a suspicious activity. The caller advised that he had seen several juveniles in the backyard of a residence on Elyria Drive and that one of the juveniles had been throwing something at the back of the house. The caller advised that the juveniles ran away. The caller stated that he checked the house again and observed that a back window had been broken out. The caller advised that the owner of the house was an elderly WWII veteran. The caller advised that the home owner was in the OhioVeteran’s Home in Sandusky and the house was vacant. Upon arrival, units found the back bedroom window broken and checked the residence. The house had been ransacked and it appeared that the suspect(s) has stolen items from the house. Officers began to check the area and located items (jewelry, coins, etc) from the house in the backyard of the residence. Officers followed the trail of dropped items through the backyard to a neighboring street. The items then led up the driveway of a residence on Lorain Drive, down the front walkway and directly in front of the front door. Four juveniles were in the residence and interview. The house was later searched and a large amount of stolen property was located inside the residence. After lengthy investigation, the four juveniles were all arrested. All for juveniles were charged with Breaking and Entering, Theft, Criminal Mischief, and Obstruction Official Business. The ages of the juveniles ranged from 14-17 years old. Officers were able to recover approximately $2400.00 worth of property. All of the property was returned to a relative of the home owner.

Sgt. Hartung met with a complainant on station who suspected fraud by a former employee. Under investigation.

 

1638:

Sgt. Hartung was dispatched to the area of Gross Plumbing in reference to a section of the sidewalk that had been damaged. A report was taken and a message was left for the building inspector.

 

1735:

Ptl. Graham spoke with a complainant via telephone reference someone taking her lighted reindeer from her yard. The complainant also advised that the icicle lights around her house were damaged.

 

2155:

Officers were dispatched to Radio Shack for a Robber that had just occurred. The employee did not sustain any injuries during the robbery and refused medical attention. The employee provided the suspect description and vehicle information. The employee advised that Fitzgerald stole a mobile phone and accessories. When confronted by the employee, Fitzgerald pushed the employee and fled the store. The suspect was located and identified as David Fitzgerald (age 23 Vermilion). Fitzgerald was charged with Robbery and transported to the Lorain County Jail.

 

December 15, 2009

 

0141:

Officers responded to an apartment on Salem Drive for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers met with the complainant who stated that her neighbors were fighting. Officers were able to see a male and female inside arguing. Contact was made with the female and she stated that her boyfriend was sleeping in the bedroom. The male was located and his face was covered with small scratches. The scratches were not consistent with fingernail scratches. Both parties stated that the reason for the argument was as to why the male had been in jail. Both parties also admitted to consuming alcohol. They were advised that there would be no arrests if both parties agreed to pour out the rest of the alcohol, stay home, and stay in separate locked rooms for the rest of the night. The female party was reluctant to have the vodka poured out, but agreed.

 

1643:

Sgt. Hartung met with complainant reference her unruly juvenile. The complainant stated that she was having problems with her juvenile son in regards to following household rules. The complainant stated that her son went to school today, but did not come home. The juvenile was charged with Unruly.

 

2057:

Ptl. Stark and Ptl. Glover were dispatched to a residence on Hollyview in regards to an unwanted female. The complainant wanted his ex-wife removed from the home. Both parties were advised to contact their attorney to resolve their issues.

0008:

Ptl. Holmes responded to Woodside Road for the complaint of telephone harassment. Ptl. Holmes spoke with the complainant and then the suspect over the phone. The suspect was advised to have no further contact with the complainant.

 

0218:

Ptl. Reising conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not signal their turn. The driver was identified as Jonathon Dunbarr (age 25 Vermilion) and was found to be under suspension. Dunbarr was charged with Driving Under Suspension.

 

December 17, 2009

 

2343:

Ptl. Holmes and Sgt. Chandler were dispatched to a residence on Elberta Road for a welfare check. The caller stated that she was concerned about a female at the residence due the all of the drug activity there. The complainant stated that she has tried to call the female party, but is unable to get through because another female keeps pretending to be her and will not put the female involved on the phone. Upon arrival officers were met by the home owner Nancy Lotko (age 51 Vermilion) and were invited in. While inside, Ptl. Holmes observed a half smoked marijuana joint, pack of rolling papers, and a plastic baggie containing marijuana. The rest of the house was checked for other occupants in the house for officer safety. A male and female were located in the bedroom and came out to the living room. Lotko then became belligerent and was getting right up in Ptl. Holmes face yelling and cursing. Lotko continued this behavior after being asked to calm down several times. Lotko was placed in handcuffs for investigative detention and sat down on the couch. While Ptl. Holmes was speaking to the other male and female, Lotko got up and stepped toward him while yelling. Lotko was asked to sit back down. Lotko refused to sit down and was taken by the arm and sat back down on the couch. Lotko then jumped right back up. Ptl. Holmes took Lotko in an escort position and she was led to the patrol car. Lotko attempted to pull away from Ptl. Holmes and break free. Lotko was take to the station and charged with Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct while Intoxicated Persisting, Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana. Lotko was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.

Ptl. Reising was dispatched to a local business reference a breaking and entering. Under investigation.

Cpl. Riggs met with a complainant and her daughter on station reference an assault that occurred at Sailorway Middle School.

 

December 18, 2009

 

1126:

Lt. Labis took a report for an attempted breaking and entering at Alco Department Store.

 

1145:

Sgt. Hartung was dispatched to a residence on Parkland Dr. for vandalism. Upon arrival the complainant advised that all four of her tires were deflated. Sgt. Hartung observed puncture marks consistent with a knife on the tire. Under investigation.

 

2217:

While conducting patrol in the South Shore Plaza, Ptl. Howell observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Liberty Avenue. The vehicle then turned into the marked exit lanes of Key Bank parking lot, drove around the old ATM machine and then came to a complete stop and turned its lights off. After several seconds the lights were turned back on and the vehicle pulled on to Liberty Avenue and headed westbound. Due to the recent robberies in the area, Ptl. Howell pulled out behind the vehicle and began to follow it. The driver of the vehicle then pulled into the Speedway parking lot. Ptl. Howell continued westbound and pulled into the Burger King lot to observe the vehicle. The driver pulled up to a gas pump and the driver remained in the vehicle for several seconds. The vehicle then pulled back on to Liberty Avenue and headed eastbound. Ptl. Howell continued to follow the vehicle. While following the vehicle Ptl. Howell observed the driver weave several times. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as Leslie Walter (age 39 Vermilion). Due to the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Walter’s breath, she was given the field sobriety tests. Walter did not pass and was arrested for OVI. While on station, Walters submitted a breath test giving a result of .198 grams. Walter was charged with OVI and released to a sober party.

1112:

Units were dispatched to a residence on Hazelwood Avenue for a possible DOA. Once on scene units found the subject lying on the couch. The ambulance arrived on scene and confirmed that the subject was dead.

 

1436:

Ptl. Stark met with the son of a Whispering Shores resident who advised that his mother and step father’s condo was broken into. Under investigation.

 

December 20, 2009

 

0331:

 

 

Ptl. Howell responded to Vermilion Road for a traffic crash. Upon arrival a vehicle was located on the side of the road. The vehicle had struck two trees along the west side of the road and had severe right front end damage. The vehicle was locked and unoccupied. Ptl. Howell observed footprints that led around the car and into the middle of the road indicating. This seemed to indicate that the driver had been picked up by another vehicle. Ptl. Howell then ran the license plate and found that the vehicle was registered to Debora Sabine. While at the traffic crash scene, another vehicle pulled up. Ptl. Howell met with the subject identified as Jason Sabine. Jason stated that he was the driver and that he lost control of the vehicle due to ice and snow. Jason then stated that after the crash he walked home. Ptl. Howell asked Jason to show which way he walked home. There were no footprints in the snow where Jason said he was. After further discussion, Jason admitted that he was not the driver and that his wife Debora Sabine wrecked the car. Jason stated that Debora was afraid that she would fail the sobriety tests if she stayed. Debora was located at her residence. She admitted to drinking and also smelled like an alcoholic beverage. Debora also said that she did not have anything else to drink since the accident. Debora was given the field sobriety tests and did not pass. Debora was taken to the station where she submitted to a breath test. Debora gave a breath sample of .122 grams. Debora Sabine was charged with OVI, Reasonable Control, and the released to her husband.

 

2122:

The fire department was toned out for a piece of debris on the tracks.

 

1936:

Ptl. Cundari was dispatched to Brownhelm Station Road in response to a suspicious vehicle. It was later determined that the vehicle had been involved in a traffic crash. The vehicle sustained damage to the front and rear right corners and side. The driver was cited with violating the terms of a probationary license and reasonable control.

 

2255:

Ptl. Howell responded to a residence on Elberta Drive reference harassing phone calls. The complainant stated that she has been receiving numerous telephone calls from her roommate’s mother. Ptl. Howell contacted the suspect and she was advised to stop calling the complainant.

 

December 21, 2009

 

0022:

Ptl. Howell conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding and the driver was identified as Harold Barrow (age 49 Michigan). Due to several suspicious conditions, Barrow was asked to step out of the vehicle and was frisked for officer safety. While speaking to Barrow, Ptl. Howell observed a small oblong white pill in the storage rack of the driver’s side door. The pill was later identified as a Vicodin. Barrow was charged with Possession of Drugs and Speed.

 

1809:

Cpl. Riggs and Sgt. Adams were dispatched to a residence on Devonshire Road reference a brother vs sister domestic dispute. Upon arrival the complainant stated that she was driven home by a friend and while she ran inside her brother came out and started hitting her friend. The complainant came back outside and while trying to break up the fight, her brother struck her in the face with an open palm. The complainant was referred to the prosecutor for possible charges.

 

2337:

While on patrol on Berkely Road near Liberty Avenue, Ptl. Holmes observed two vehicles parked in the Drug Mart parking lot. Ptl. Holmes pulled up to the vehicles and observed two occupants sitting in the vehicle. While approaching the vehicle the driver rolled down the window and Ptl. Holmes was immediately able to smell a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. While speaking to the subjects inside, the passenger became agitated and would not stop his verbal attack on Ptl. Holmes. The subjects were identified as Casey Dellisanti (age 34 Berlin Heights) and Alan Revercomb (age 39 Oberlin). After further investigation, Dellisanti was found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe and a small baggie of marijuana. Dellisanti also had a Mcdonald’s cup with beer inside. Revercomb was found to be in possession of marijuana. Dellisanti was charged with Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Drugs, and Open Container. Revercomb was charged with Possession of Drugs.

Ptl. Jones was dispatched to the High School reference three counterfeit twenty dollar bills. Under investigation.

 

1342:

Chief Kish met with a complainant on station reference a check that was written to them for the sale of a dog. The check written was on a closed account. Under investigation.

 

1752:

All units were dispatched to an apartment on Bridgeport Drive for a suicidal juvenile female. The juvenile was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.

 

2149:

Ptl. Spoores was dispatched to a residence on Roxboro for a theft complainant. Once on scene, Ptl. Spoores spoke with the complainant who advised she dropped off a box of adult items (sex toys) to the address of a recent client. It was later learned that the box was delivered to the wrong address. Ptl. Spoores spoke to the neighbor and she said she never saw the package. Under investigation.

Ptl. Mis met with a complainant on station reference harassing messages on her phone. The messages were coming from an unknown number.

 

December 24, 2009

 

1049:

Lt. Labis met with a complainant on station reference harassing text messages. The complainant stated that her ex-husband’s new girlfriend will not stop sending messages. The complainant also stated that her ex-husband’s new girlfriend is also texting her son and daughter. The ex-husband’s new girlfriend was contacted and she advised that she was the one being harassed. Both parties were advised to leave each other alone.

Lt. Labis spoke to a complainant reference harassing phone calls. The suspect was contacted and advised to stop calling.

 

December 26, 2009

 

1601:

Ptl. Mis responded to a residence on South Shore Court reference a Burglary. Under investigation.

 

2010:

Units were dispatched to a residence on Overlook for a domestic dispute. The caller stated that her husband threatened her with a gun and fired several rounds inside the house. The caller was able to get out of the residence and go to her mothers. Units arrived on scene but later found out that the suspect was not at the residence. Units met with the victim and she stated that her husband Joshua Rollin (age 28 Vermilion) was enroute to his mother’s house. Units made contact with Rollin via telephone and he agreed to come back to the house. Rollin was located and a traffic stop was conducted. Rollin was taken into custody. Units removed a muzzle loader, a shotgun, 6 live 12 gage rounds and 3 spend rounds on the rear passenger seat. Rollin stated that he and his wife got into an argument because she was receiving X-rated picture mail from her ex-husband. Rollin said that his wife began pushing him and stabbed him with an ink pen in the chest. Rollin then said that she started scratching him and punching him in the face so he grabbed his gun and left. Rollin denied shooting the gun. Rollin’s wife stated that they got into an argument and he slapped her and punched her. He also grabbed her by the hair in attempts to stop her from leaving. Rollin’s wife also said that Rollin said that he was going to kill himself but needed to get shells from the shed. Rollin left to go get them and Rollin’s wife left the house and ran down the street. While running, she heard a loud boom and thought that he was shooting at her. Several neighbors advised they heard the couple arguing and did hear two loud bangs, but were unsure if it was gun shots. Rollin was charged with Domestic Violence, Using Weapons While Intoxicated, Aggravated Menacing, and was served with a warrant for Vermilion Municipal Court for failure to pay fines. Rollin was taken to the Lorain County Jail.

Ptl. Reising conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that could not maintain constant speed and could not stay in the proper lanes of travel. The driver was identified as Matthew Croston (age 37 Lorain) was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Croston was transported to the station where he provided a breath sample of .155 grams. Croston was charged with OVI and Marked Lanes.

Ptl. Spoores conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at a red light. The driver was identified as a 16 year old male from Vermilion and the passenger was identified as a 15 year old male also from Vermilion. The driver received a citation for Red Light and both subjects were charged with Curfew.

 

1121:

Units were dispatched to Shawnee Court reference a dog bite. The complainant stated that while she was jogging, a medium sized dog attacked her and bit her multiple times. The dog was not on a chain and she did not provoke to dog in any way. Officers made contact with the dog owner Martha Emling (age 55 Vermilion). Emling stated that she let the dog out and forgot to put it on a leash. Emling was charged with Vicious Dog at Large.

Ptl. Graham was dispatched to Fairfax Drive reference property damage. Upon arrival, the complainant stated that a blue car drove through her side yard. It is unknown who the driver was.

While traveling eastbound on Liberty Avenue, Ptl. Cundari observed a white vehicle stuck in a snow drift. Ptl. Cundari made contact with the driver and found him to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver, Scott Meyer (age 24 Columbus) was transported to the station where he provided a breath sample of .118 grams. Meyer was charged with OVI and Reasonable Control.

Ptl. Graham was dispatched to Erie Road reference property damage. The complainant stated that sometime yesterday someone shattered the rear window of his Ford Expedition. The complainant has no suspects at this time.

The fire department was toned out for a chimney fire.

Ptl. Shupe met with a complainant reference threatening text messages. The complainant requested a police report but did not want anyone to speak to the suspect.

Ptl. Howell responded to the area of Mill Street for a report of a vehicle in a ditch. The driver was identified as a 16 year old male. There were also two passengers age 16 and 14. The driver was charged with Curfew violation, Reasonable Control, and Probationary License Restrictions. The two passengers were charged with Curfrew Violation.

The fire department was toned out for a carbon monoxide detector going off.

Ptl. Jones met with a complainant on station reference harassing phone calls. The suspect was contacted and advised not to have any further contact with the complainant.

Ptl. Holmes conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding in the area of the South Shore Shopping Plaza. The driver, Sojnia Mucci (age 41 Vermilion) was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Mucci was given the field sobriety tests and did not pass. Mucci was transported to the station. While on station Mucci proceeded to vomit profusely for several minutes. Mucci then submitted a breath sample of .140 grams. Mucci was charged with OVI and Excessive Speed.
